DALTON for the Huntley family — NC
Steven and Holly have been married for over twelve years and have three children. Steven and Holly met in college, and got married a year after graduation. Within their first year of marriage, our first child, Luke, was born. Three years later, we were excited to add a daughter, Sophie. Their third child, Levi was born to us in June, 2009, and has been a joy for the entire family.
Steven and Holly have been thinking about and praying about adoption for approximately eighteen months. About a year ago, they decided to seriously pursue foreign adoption and began researching different countries and agencies. In the back of their minds, they considered looking into what it would mean to add a child with special needs to their family. Holly had prior experience teaching children with hearing impairments, which included children with other special needs. In February of 2012, they felt God clearly calling them to adopting a child with special needs, possibly even one with Down Syndrome. Their hearts had been broken and opened to these children who have a very special place in God’s kingdom. They are very excited to enter this next phase of their lives together and to add a new member to their family.
Steven and Holly had seen Dalton on Reece’s Rainbow when they first started looking into special needs adoption. Now that they are ready to move forward, they were blessed to have this sweet little boy still looking for his forever family. They are super excited and know that Dalton will be the blessing that God intends for their lives.
