MILO for the Stephens family — UT
Quin and Whitney have been married for nearly 13 years. With three biological children, they felt their family was complete. Their adoption story began over two years ago as they watched a friend bring home a little girl with Down syndrome from Ukraine and their eyes were opened to the need of so many orphans around the world. With plenty of love to give, they eagerly began an adoption of a beautiful little girl from Russia last summer. They traveled to Russia in December to meet her, and she stole their hearts from the minute she came into the room. They love her with all they have and have done every single thing in their power to bring her home to them. When the situation with Russia was not looking good still after 8 months of efforts, they reached out to the Canadian press and asked for a family to step forward and adopt their little Meg. Amazingly, a wonderful Canadian family has stepped forward and is eager to make her part of their family!
Quin and Whitney had committed to “Connor James” in May. Because he was an orphan and not getting the medical attention he needed, he passed away in August. Devastated, the Stephens’ didn’t know what to do. Two children they’ve loved, and two children they’ve lost. With over 57 million orphans in the world, though, they knew their adoption story couldn’t end here. They found another little boy they fell in love with and are committed to bring him home and get him the medical attention and love he so very much needs.
Though they never imagined their story would take so many twists and turns, they also never imagined all they would learn through the process and all the amazing friends they would make along the way. They are still hopeful that someday their story will end with the happily ever after they’ve been praying for!
