JOHN MARK and PRATT for the Hutson family — MD
Jennifer and Erik have been married for 15 years. They have two girly girls, age 11 and 9. Jennifer and Erik have always wanted to adopt and discussed the possibility since they were dating. Jennifer’s heart was broken for Orphans in Eastern Europe when she was 14 and watched a documentary about orphanages there. The horror of that has always stayed with her. Jennifer and Erik had the opportunity to do foster care for a special needs boy and this only depended their resolve that they would one day adopt. Jennifer has struggled with infertility complications and suffered countless miscarriages. She feels so blessed that she was able to experience child birth two times. Jennifer and Erik also felt that they would have a special needs child. They were shown part of God’s plan for them when their youngest daughter was born deaf and had medical complications. They gained valuable experience working with her to learn to walk, play and communicate through American Sign Language. F is now a typical 9 year old girl! They now see ‘special needs’ in a whole new way. They can’t wait to apply all they have learned and welcome a new precious child into their family. They know that while they will be helping this new child that he will teach them so much more! They know that God has a plan for each and every one of us far greater than we can imagine on our own.
