Justin and Melissa met in 2007 when Melissa was entering her last semester of Nursing School. They married two years later in September 2009. They didn’t have to wait long to welcome their first child, Abigail Rose in July 2010. Justin and Melissa loved being parents and couldn’t wait to add more children to their family. Instead, they were faced with the tragedy of losing their precious Abigail when she passed away in her sleep soon after her 1st Birthday. Even in the face of their loss, Justin and Melissa never gave up their hopes and dreams for their family which included a life filled with children. Melissa started researching international adoption and came upon Reece’s Rainbow. They both had no idea that there are so many children in the world just waiting for a family! As the months passed they began to feel a calling to adopt a waiting child. Melissa inquired about many children but for different reasons, it was not meant to be. Melissa waited to inquire about Hadley assuming there would be many families interested. Hadley was almost matched with a family but it turned out Melissa’s timing was perfect. The other family changed their mind and the agency partner contacted them to ask, “Are you still interested?” “Yes! We’re still interested!” And that’s when they knew that Hadley was destined to be their daughter. Justin and Melissa are excited to start this journey to bring their daughter home and would appreciate any support you can provide!
