Diagnosis: imperforated anus and genital malformations

Alyssa is very small for her age, She weighs 30 pounds and is 38 inches tall at almost 9 years old. She is not yet walking independently, but will walk while holding someone’s hand. She feeds herself with a spoon and washes her own hands. She can talk and enjoys looking at books with pictures in them. She can tell part of her favorite story, with the help of an adult. She responds to her name, follows simple directions and shows a preference for certain adults. She can draw on paper and enjoys musical games and motor activities. She is observant and inquisitive. She is now receiving instruction from a resource teacher and progress in her development has been observed since the teaching began.
