JOSHUA for the Huhn family — MT
Adam and Jodi met almost 20 years ago on a blind date in high school. They first started thinking about adoption 7 years ago when their 2nd child was born with Down Syndrome. They realized quickly how exceptional these children were and it broke their hearts to know that so many of these beautiful children didn’t have families of their own. They started asking questions about international adoption, but God closed doors and they felt that it wasn’t the right time. They now have four wonderful children and were just starting to relax and enjoy a diaper free house. One day, Jodi was out on the Reece’s Rainbow website in an attempt to talk someone else into adopting a special needs child. Adam was out on a different website looking at tractors. Jodi saw Joshua and instantly fell in love. She showed Adam the picture and he knew he wasn’t going to be getting his tractor anytime soon. God was moving them and they had to do everything possible to adopt Joshua, even if it meant stepping out of their comfort zone and traveling to the complete opposite part of the world to get him.
