Diagnosis: Down syndrome, strabismus
 

 

Piper is a happy and social child. She has glasses prescribed for her strabismus, but is otherwise healthy. She does not talk, but imitates the actions of those around her. She enjoys music and participating in music related activities. 

She feeds herself and is learning to dress herself. She participates in games and activities. She is attached to staff members. She was described as being able to "keep busy with activities that interest her for long periods of time". She does not have any noted behavior problems and no signs of aggression toward herself or others.
