ALISSA for the Madison family — FL

When Jon & Katie married in 2005, they knew that adoption would be a special part of growing their family.  God had laid this calling on their hearts at different points in life.  Katie was just a girl herself  with some significant people in her life through the blessing of adoption, and thus a seed was planted.  Jon became involved In Children’s Ministry at the church where he met Katie; this is also where God began working in his heart on behalf of orphans.  Fast forward 6 years & one beautiful biological daughter later, and this pair knew that God’s timing for  their adoption had finally come!  Having spent the entirety of their marriage researching international adoption, they were confident in choosing Russia.   Little did they know that God had a little surprise in store.  Through a series of seemingly random events, He led them to Reece’s Rainbow & gave them a strong desire to advocate for the children of this ministry.  After all, these children are the “least of these”, and Jon & Katie’s hearts cried out for them.  Within days of finding RR, Katie saw “Alissa” & was instantly smitten.  What began as advocating soon grew into something much more, and they knew their world would never be the same—Praise God!  Now Jon & Katie are praying earnestly & preparing eagerly to bring home their little lovie with designer genes, and they couldn’t be more grateful that God’s writing this beautiful story just for them!
