Crystal

Girl, Born December 2009

ABItaiCL–Down Syndrome

From the time Crystal was born until April 2011, she was taken care of by a nanny 24/7.   This was due to her birth parents being incapable of taking care of her. Her birth parents did take her home every other weekend.  After some time, the birth parents could no longer afford the nursery fee.  She has been residing in an orphanage since then.

Crystal had difficulty breathing at birth and received medical treatment in the hospital. She was diagnosed with Down Syndrome and ASD.  Crystal displays developmental delay in gross motor ability and fine motor ability.  She also suffers from an abnormal swallowing function. She has started to receive individual physical therapy since moving to an orphanage. On June 30, 2011, she received surgery for bilateral hernia.
