CHELSEA for Karen and Darren — WA

Darren and Karen met many years ago through mutual friends. They have been married since 1991. Over the last 20 years they have been blessed with 3 wonderful children. Their daughter Ashleigh joined their family through adoption from China in 2006. She has been such a wonderful addition to their family. Her adoption was the beginning of their eyes being open to the needs of orphans around the world. From that time on they have felt that there is still someone missing from their family. In July of 2009 they began to try and adopt from foster care, but by the end of 2010 it had become obvious that was not the right path. In October 2010 Karen came across Reese’s Rainbow and was scrolling through the pages, looking at the children. It was there that she saw Chelsea’s photo. From that day on Chelsea has never been far from her mind.  They began working on her adoption earlier this year and are very excited to add her to their family.
