Charlie and Joel

Sibling Group – 2 brothers

Di2011-mc04 and Di2011-mc03

Charlie:  Boy, born  2/14/07

This exceptionally gorgeous child is the younger biological brother to Joel, who is also available for adoption. As a four year old this little boy loves to learn and is considered a quick learner! He currently lives in a foster home in Hong Kong and enjoys running and learning to ride a bicycle. He is learning to speak English in his classroom, enjoys Disney cartoons and likes to play with cars. Due to his diagnosis of developmental delay, language delay and autistic features he does not do well transitioning from one activity to another. He is attached to his foster family and has made significant progress since his placement into this setting. He is observed to be a serious learner at school and there is no doubt that he has lots of potential. In view of his previous change of caregivers and his insecure behaviors with his foster family he is definitely in need of a stable and nurturing forever family who can provide him with unfailing love and security, along with firm and consistent parenting as well as professional support. It is believed that this little boy's potential can be fully reached in a permanent family and he would be a tremendous blessing to them as well!

Joel:  Boy, born 4/25/05

This adorable six year old boy is the sibling to Charlie and they would love to be adopted together! His handsome face and sweet smile make him a popular child in his facility. He is generally healthy and is described by his caregivers as an easy going child who is quiet, gentle and compliant most of the time. His gross motor development is appropriate to his age. Despite a diagnosis of autism this little guy appears comfortable when communicating with others. He is especially good at math and enjoys writing both his numbers and some words. He loves to play outdoors and has strong friendships with other children and adults alike.  Although he has been diagnosed with a mild grade mental retardation, this sweet boy has shown his strength in Mathematics and his development in this area seem age appropriate. In view of his autistic features it is inevitable that he is relatively weak at eye contact and social skills and both will need to be enhanced by a stable family life and community therapies. He is in need of a nurturing family who can provide him with unconditional love and care as well as firm and consistent parenting. It is believed this little boy will blossom and excel in a family setting.

$5.00 is available towards the cost of my adoption!
