A Child for the Nagel family — MD
Andy and Bethany are excited and grateful to begin this journey of welcoming Timothy as a part of their family. The Nagels have been married for 8 years and have been richly blessed by their two biological sons, Zachary (4) and Caleb (2). Andy serves as a pastor and Bethany is completing her training as a counselor. For years they have sensed that God would call them to adopt—specifically sensing that God had in mind a child with Down Syndrome for them. However, they had no idea how this would come about. Coincidentally (or not!), they moved to Germantown, Maryland where they became aware of the important work of Reece’s Rainbow, and were privileged to begin supporting and praying for friends who were adopting through this ministry. In God’s perfect and unpredictable timing, they were led and encouraged to consider stepping out in faith themselves. Already, they feel that their lives have been changed by adoption—not only do they more clearly understand the heartbreaking need of orphans, but they also more fully understand the great love of God which has welcomed them—once spiritual orphans and outcasts– into the family of God through the grace of God’s adoption of them in Jesus Christ. They ask for your prayers and invite you to follow their story.
