God began preparing Grace’s heart for this adoption when she was a little girl. Back then, however, when she dreamed about starting a family, her dreams included meeting Mr. Right, settling down, and together, building a family through adoption. God had different plans, and she knows now that His plans are the right ones. God has given Grace a heart content to wait on Him, and endless opportunities to serve Him in her season of singleness. He has given her the privilege of doing Kingdom work in Kenya and Haiti, in a ministry to homeless children here in the States, and in loving people in the inner-city neighborhood in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she lives. All this time, God has been working on Grace’s heart; teaching her to follow and obey. There has never been a time yet when Grace has taken a leap of faith and the Lord has not caught her. And so, she is a taking her biggest leap yet, trusting that God who has called her is faithful!

After following the stories of 2 little girls, severely malnourished and neglected in an orphanage in Bulgaria, God led Grace to a sweet, 6-year-old little girl in that same orphanage, with whom she has fallen completely in love. Grace cannot wait to get this little girl home, and to officially be her mom!
