Evie 2H

Evie was born in May 2010. She does not have any siblings. She is a calm baby. Poor baby had a heat rash or eczema when this photo was taken but her skin has reportedly cleared up now. We also have a baby photo of her with clear skin. She is the youngest child we have come across with HIV. She has also tested positive for antibodies to hepatitis C which means that her birthmother definitely had HepC, although it is unclear without an RNA test if Evie has it or not. She was born pre-term and had ischemic hypoxic affliction  (lack of oxygen), which is apparently common for newborn children to need oxygen.

Update Fall 2011:  Evie has had great improvements with her skin condition; she is beautiful!

$5.00 is available towards the cost of my adoption!
