YANA for the Arndt-Schreiber family — PA

Joe and Christina have been married for thirteen years. They have two children, a nine year-old son Jack, and a seven-year-old daughter Veda. Christina has always had a vision for her future about adopting a child with Down Syndrome, and she and Joe had discussed it at length but never quite felt like the time was right. Their plan was to continue thinking and praying about it in order to better understand Godʼs will for their lives.

 

Over the past few years, Joeʼs job as an MRI technologist has given him the opportunity to interact with different special needs children, including children with Down Syndrome, and the idea of adding to their family became more compelling. Recently they both began to feel a very compelling sense that their family was not yet complete. Ultimately, both Joe and Christina came back to the idea that adopting a Downs child was what God planned for them. At the beginning of August they began the adoption process with the intent of bringing 3-month-old Yana home to be a part of their family.

 

Joe and Christina canʼt wait to welcome Yana into their new home. Every day, Jack and Veda are more excited about their new little sister.
