HEIDI for the Peterson family — NE

Matt and Amy have been happily married for 13 years. In that time there family has grown to include 3 wonderful daughters Lilli(9), Vivian(6) and Piper (2).  Matt and Amy have been affectionately named by friends the “kid family.” You see they have a deep love for children and family life. Amy has dreamt of adopting since she was a little girl. As God blessed the Petersons with 3 biological children she thought this dream was not to be.  In Dec. 2010 Amy was reading a magazine that shared the story of a Reece’s Rainbow family. Her heart was so moved by the needs of international special needs children that both Matt and Amy began to pray about how God wanted them to be involved in orphan care. Would He want them to advocate, to donate? The answer was yes, but He even more lovingly  showed them the face of a little girl that He knew was meant for them. Heidi captured the entire family’s heart. Every day as the family sits down to dinner you can hear the littlest in the family praying for their sister far away.  They know the road is long and that it will take the love and support of many to make Heidi’s miracle of a family come true. But the Petersons trust that “God will complete this good work He has started”.  Thank you for being a part of Heidi’s miracle!
