MARIO & LINA for the Shupe family — VA

Jeff and Wendy have only been married for 18 months but have been friends for many years.  They have 6 children between them:  Britnee (24), Zachary (22), Miranda (18) , Seth (11) , Cassie (10) adopted from Kazakhstan in 2003, and Makenzi (6).  Jeff and Wendy knew when they married that they wanted an “ours” and that this would happen through international adoption.  While researching adoption, Wendy found Reece’s Rainbow and began to pray that God would reveal his will about adding a child with special needs to their family.

Jeff  found Lina’s picture  as he and Wendy perused through the RR website  and he was immediately smitten by this little girl’s face.  Jeff and Wendy had planned to adopt a son with Down Syndrome and found Mario in Bulgaria soon after they made the decision to adopt a child with special needs.  Lina continued to burden their hearts, and the more they learned about her and her special needs, they were convinced that this should be their daughter.  Lina has Dwarfism and an un-repaired cleft palate so they are very anxious to get her home and get the medical interventions that she desperately needs.  This is truly a leap of faith for this family.   Your prayers and financial support are greatly needed and much appreciated.
