OLGA for the Abell family–Gig Harbor, WA

Chris and Jenn met in 2007 and were married in 2008. Chris works at the local Army base repairing Blackhawk Helicopters and Jenn is a stay at home mom to her three daughters. They have always known they both wanted a big family. They  had thought about adoption and became foster parents. They had never thought of adopting internationally.  That is until Jenn started following the adoption journey of a family they knew who adopted two children through RR. Jenn felt the tugging at her heart that they too needed to adopt. When she mentioned it to Chris, he wasn’t so sure.  After meeting those two children Chris too felt the tugging of God to adopt and from RR. After discussing adopting with their children it was decided they would adopt. Jenn took off with it, checking RR daily looking and praying for these children and which one did God have for them. Chris would look at the pictures with her but never really found the one, he said God would show him who his son or daughter was.  One night while looking through the ages 3-5 category they came open Olga and both knew this was their daughter. They “introduced” her picture and information to their daughters and all were very excited.  While waiting for the funds to come in to commit and do home study they prayed for Olga and prayed that if she was the next daughter God had for them he would open the doors. They have been amazed at what God has done to provide them with the blessing of being able to be her forever family. Olga will have three big sisters to look up to Britney (9), Jessica (11) and Rebecca (13). They are all looking forward to their little sister coming home so they can teach her all things “girly”.  Chris and Jenn pray that through their adoption others will see that if you follow Gods calling of adopting He will provide in wonderful ways.
