Age: 1 ½ year old boy.
Diagnosis: post-operative spina bifida and umbilical hernia.
Upon admission, doctors in the institute found that he had a conscious mind, average spirit, and sensitive reaction. In August 2009, Christopher received the repair of the spinal meningocele and recovered well after the operation. Christopher has a ruddy complexion and flexible eyesight, is quiet and has a ready smile. He likes playing with toys with bright colors that make sounds. Christopher has good intellectual development.
There is a $1500 grant available for Christopher through the agency.

- Once an LOI is submitted and the family is granted PA, they have 6 months to get their dossier to China .
- Families must be between the ages of 30 and 55 years old (for children with medical special needs)
- Couples must be married for at least two years. Single women are no longer accepted.
- Families must have no more than four children in the home (some exceptions can be made).
- China has a detailed list of document requirements and specific requirements for the home study.
- Post placement reports by a social worker are required 6 month and 1 year after the adoption.
- At least one parent will need to travel but preference is for both to travel.
